For nearly 40 years I have been legal counsel for entrepreneurs, individuals and small business where I apply my college degree in business administration, knowledge of finance and accounting, expertise as an author for a learned treatise on mortgages and deeds of trust, co-author of a book on bankruptcy law, and being a certified specialist in bankruptcy law to provide the highest level of experience when experience counts. On a daily basis I provide a level of services often not accessible to small business and individual clients. In doing so, there are times I am known to have been “pushing the envelope” of the law, for which there are several published appellate decisions and others unpublished. Based upon my experience, business and individual clients are counseled on “Knowing How Not to Fail,” providing them with a skills set often missing in many entrepreneurs.

As a founder, chief executive officer and general counsel for the technology platform, Loadchief, my responsibilities and experience includes software development and implementation of a logistics platform allowing courier companies to access independent contractor drivers credentialed to make deliveries. As a platform, Loadchief is regulatory compliant under California’s AB5 and Proposition 22. As counsel, my responsibilities include coordinating and contracting with background research companies, insurance underwriters, legacy software companies to API through Loadchief to allow couriers to continue using their software, and third party payment processing companies through which drivers are paid. As the CEO, relying upon my 40 years of corporate finance experience, I work with courier company owners to understand how Loadchief can increase their revenue, customer reach, while taking better control of their costs and increasing profit margins.
